Has to be the Cy Young winner this year. Sabathia had a good year but Beckett has been clutch in games when they needed him.

SI had Sabathia and Carmona ahead of Beckett. Don't know why. He should win.

One walk in three postseason starts? Wow.

It's only based on the regular season. And Sabathia beat Beckett in pretty much every category except wins.

yes it is based on what you did in the regular season, but they do take postseason play into consideration

Thats why the should let the playoffs play out and see what happens. But with that is good and bad things from that. If a good pitcher on a sorry team doesn't get into the playoffs then that can hurt his chances. Another way of looking at it, if a pitcher is eligable for the Cy Young(like Sabathia) and blows dick in the playoffs, then that can show that even though he was good during the regular season, when it matters the most he doesn't show up. If the Cy Young award included playoffs, then Beckett would have it won easily.

There is nobody else I rather have on the mound than Beckett. He is one of the best big game pitchers of all time.

Why do they give 'wins' to pitchers anyway? It's not like they're scoring runs for their teams.
