Sorry, but I am not ready to jump on the VT for Pres bandwagon. Moore, ON PAPER, was the better option going in. he had spent more time in the system, in meetings, etc, than VT. It's not like VT went out and lit the place up. He managed the game, and the Panthers picked up 140 yards of their offense on 2 plays.

I'm glad they won, but VT was a small part of why. They got the ball back to Smith. D-Will ran for over 100 (75 on ONE play). AZ isn't very good, especially with Warner starting, and Rattay on in relief.

All that said, 4-2 to the bye, is fine by me.

nah. i was trying to show my pal that having carr in there doesn't magically do us wonders.

carr, vinny, blanda. who gives a shit. we keep blocking like we are now, we'll be dealing with longer-term issues.

Mistaken about what? As noted in the other thread, I think it's great that Testaverde was able to do anything at 43 years of age (although pretty unfair of the coaches to force him into that situation), but nothing he did today is something that Moore couldn't have done just as well. 29 of Vinny's 33 attempts were short dump off passes, but some people seem to think that he shredded Arizona.

So if you mean will I admit that I'm mistaken about Carr being a better option, then no, I don't think I am mistaken about that. I haven't even changed my mind about Moore being the better option. This, to me, is once again starting Rodney Peete over Delhomme. I will admit that I was mistaken about what the coaches would think, as meatpile astutely pointed out by referencing Peete. Of course, you'll pretend that this means I can't admit that I'm wrong (even though I have about numerous things), but the truth is that I still prefer Carr and I still prefer Moore when he can't go. Kudos to Vinny today, though.

yeah, the best Panther QB will have surgery this week. We have game managers now--a la Trent Dilfer in Baltimore....but without that nasty Baltimore defense. I like where they are now...we'll see how they fare against Indy in 2 weeks.

FUCK! Is that you Collin? That was almost a civil post, no insults, no "quit embarrassing yourself", no name calling, and you actually did admit you were wrong about one thing. Welcome back!

I'm somewhat amused that you didn't notice how you were the one who responded with insults and vitriol when accused (and guilty) of actually being wrong, while I did not. As I've said before, what separates me from people like you isn't that I'm more insulting. Most of us are assholes, so the difference is largely intelligence.
