    Both teams need some playmakers. No consolation for the Tarheels but they are headed in the right direction. The Cocks are very predictable on offense which is a bit of a shock for a team coached by Spurrier. Give Davis two more years and the Heels will be real.

    If a bombed dropped on Kenan today I wouldn't complain. Hate both schools. I'd shuttle out Spurrier ahead of time of course

    They are OK now that they landed in the SEC, but they left the ACC in the early 70's and their sports programs really sufered for quite a while after that. And even now, they lack for a natural rival in the SEC - most of their big games in the major sports still come against non SEC schools.

    I don't know what happened it the second half. I'll say this...

    Tarheels will fuck up the ACC next year. 2 years they'll win it. :juggle:

    Don't know whether they'll win anything in a couple of years, but aside from the bonehead reverse/WR pass, the play calling in the 2nd half was great. They went after the Gamecocks #7, and ran the ball well. Spurrier abandoned the run so damn early in the second half it was stunning. 'Survived' is a good term for the Gamecocks right now.

    Yesterday was the first time I'd been to Kenan without having arrived by bus. The rows were too narrow, but the on the whole we enjoyed the setting. I wouldn't describe the atmosphere as 'electric', but it was a fun time watching defiant Tarheel fans trade jabs with Gamecock fans who talked too damn much. I'd say about 1/3 of the Tarheel fans bailed out at halftime. Too bad.

    Why - so they could stay and watch them choke?

    Just kidding - Kudos to NC for even hanging in that game, and I have no idea what Spurrier was thinking the second half. That was pathetic. SC did not deserve to win that game.
