    Smelley has been looking better and better. Spurrier said this week that they seem to be on the same page and that Smelley is very SMART (Mitchell was a knucklehead). I think this kid's gonna be damn good.

    By the way...the line's at 9 now.

    Most have it at 7, a few at 7.5 and one on the list I looked at was at 9

    It has been crazy listening to PRIMETIME this week, with the Cocks & Heels fans dogging each other out. You would think that between both of them they've won a dozen national titles in football . . . Sighhhhhh :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

    I mean, UNC had some pretty good running backs back in the late 60's/early 70's right? Their best years were when 1) LT was playing for them and 2) Mack Brown was the coach. USC? They've had George Rogers winning the Hiesman and . . . Todd Ellis ? ? ?

    BOTTOM LINE: 2 so-so football programs who should play each other every year (perferable in Charlotte :) :) !!!!!) are playing against each other Saturday. Nothing more, nothing less!!!!!

    No SDS. The 2 major universities from each Carolina. North meets South. Lots of hate from back in the ACC days. Hate from UNC towards Spurrier. USC has 16 players from NC on it and raided the state for top talent last year.

    Gamecocks are 7th in the country and UNC just came off of a BIG win over Miami.

    Stever Spurrier vs. Butch Davis

    The regional hype is well deserved.

    agreed... Its a fun boarder war rivalry. I wish it was done yearly. I don't like the neutral site idea though. Ech one should have an alternating shot on home turf every other year.

    Wish there was some sorta trophy. Like the Boarder War Cup or something sweet like that.

    There is no rivalry. Never really was when South Carolina was in the ACC either.
