Carr's back could mean Moore starting that may be why Testeverde is here, to teach Moore.

It's always funny when you pretend to be stupid. In this case I'm referring to the idea that you're so clueless about football that you don't know the difference between a starter's practice reps and a backup's practice reps. You didn't really become stupid in the last year, did you?

I know he knows the offense, and knows the audibles. And he was prepped as the starter this week. Whether he gets the first team reps or not in weeks 1-3 has no bearing on him knowing the offense or being ready.

I severely doubt that a 5 year starter can't pick up an offense in a training camp and a few months of downtime. There should be absolutely nothing in this offense he can't do right now. You can call people stupid all day, but he should know this offense and you slinging bullshit at it doesn't change that.

I don't know if he does or not. But the idea of him not having enough time to know the offense like he's not been here long enough is silly.

Magnus, Delhomme has been getting the starter's reps for since the end of July. That's eight weeks of reps compared to Carr's two. Only someone woefully ignorant about the NFL would think that they'd be equally comfortable at this point. There is nothing whatsoever to suggest that Carr doesn't know the offense, but saying that he should be able to audible out of all the run plays Davidson called with only two weeks of prep is unrealistic. You know that, you're just pretending to be stupid.

So you're pretending that we don't teach the offense to the backups?
He shouldn't know the audibles? He didn't have seven months to learn this offense including minicamps, training camp, and workouts?

Everything you ever hear involving backups is that they train as if they're starting that week. They know every gameplan. They sit in on the meetings and need to know everything the starter does.
There's absolutely nothing in the offense that he shouldn't know. The three weeks of regular season reps he got less of, should've done absolutely nothing to his knowledge of this offense, its plays, or what he'd do in that situation. He has just as much experience, and two weeks in, there's no reason to excuse anything based on readiness.

This is year six. There's nothing he shouldn't be ready for. I haven't seen a legitimate reason to think he wasn't, which is why the notion that he may have been is curious at best.

However much time he had and when he had it, he showed in the TB game he needed more.

I hope Vinny gets to throw a TD this year to make it 20 straight years.

He is about as good as we were going to find at this point. I would rather have him in there than some clueless guy who has never played.
