I would've taken Aaron Brooks over Vinny.

his numbers from his last year at the Jets. did he play at all for the Pats last year?

Testaverde, who started four games for the Jets last season, became the first player in NFL history to throw at least one touchdown pass in 19 straight seasons. He completed 60 of 106 passes for 777 yards with one touchdown and six interceptions. He was subsequently replaced by Brooks Bollinger, who had started the season as the team's third stringer.

    edit: New England 2-3 , 29 yards , 1 TD 0 int

Hey fans, shake it loose together
    The spotlight's hitting something
That's been known to change the weather
We'll kill the fatted DT tonight
    So stick around
You're gonna hear boring Panther music
    Empty Stands of sound
Say, Davie and Johnnie, have you seen the Offense yet
So much talent that you’ll need to spread it out, Vuh Vuh Vuh Vuh Vinnie and the Cats
Oh but they're so crisp and they're wonderful
    Oh Vinnie he's really keen
He's wears electric blue replaced the big voodoo
You know I read it in Roar magazine
Ah ha, Vuh Vuh Vinnie and the Cats
Hey fans, Don’t listen to the faithless
    Maybe they're blinded
    But Vinnie just seems ageless
We shall survive, let us take ourselves along
Where we fight our teammates in the locker room To find who's right and who's wrong
Say, Davie and Johnnie, have you seen the offense yet
So much talent that you’ll need to spread it out, Vuh vuh vuh vuh Vinnie and the Cats
Oh but they're so crisp and they're wonderful
    Oh Bennie he's really keen
He's wears electric blue replaced the big voodoo
You know I read it in Roar magazine
Ah ha, Vuh vuh Vinnie and the Cats
Ah ha, Vuh vuh Vinnie and the Cats
    Vinnie, Vinnie and the Cats
Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie and the Cats
Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie and the Cats

Right. As long as he is 3rd on the depth chart behind Carr and Moore, I have no problem with this signing.

good enough. He knows the system, like Fauria, so it's not a big stretch. He's got enough arm to do some things, and help out teaching Moore while we prep Carr (the odd thing is, he's a 5 year starter with just as much starting experience as Jake, and just as much time in the system, but we're treating Carr as if he's young and can't handle things like audibles or the playbook?)
