Assuming no more Delhomme I would personally hope Carr can do a decent enough job that we can get a first day draft pick next year and bring him along slowly.

I've been figuring that would happen once Henning left, get the new guy someone to train in his first or second season. But I'm not sure they'll do it, it may be a case of more vet FAs. Sucks we put Basanez on IR when he probably didn't need it.

edit: y2b I'm not down on him yet either.

Basanez is still in a cast up to his elbow (at least he was on Wednesday of last week), and he told me he couldn't throw a ball for about 2-4 more weeks. maybe.

I hope Carr works out, and don't mind developing a young guy....I just think that Fox will want a vetran guy if Carr isn't the man. much like when he brought in Rodney Peete.

Thanks. So his medical condition was valid... I suspected he had some minor problem they trumped up to justify stashing him for a year.

lots thought that...Baz is working out, but obviously not throwing. He told me about the surgery--I tuned out on some of the details, because I don't necessarily like surgeries. It was legit. He's been very upbeat, and looking ahead to getting back to throwing. They wouldn't stash him if they didn't like him, so Baz IMO is in the plans long term.

Mortenson was just pimping Matt Moore.

Also mentioned Weinke, Hasslebeck and Rattay

Can Chuck Norris throw a football? We would be undefeated FOREVER! He could play offense and defense - ALONE!!!
