    if it's Tommy John surgery, there's no amount of rest or rehab that would have fixed things. It is surgery to fix the ligaments inside the elbow also. From what's been in the media, Jake's injury is to a ligament on the outside.

    This sucks. The season isn't over, I can still see us winning a wild card slot (its the NFC) and just being out in the first weekend.

    On replacements: I thought Boller signed an extension so he may not be available after this season unless we trade. Andrew Walter may be available for considerably less-right now, and I wouldn't object to him.
