No, he's not. He sucked balls as a pro and would have been a bust either way. Anyone who isn't a Carolina homer knew that it was a dumb pick.

Yeah he had a good jumper for a big man, he was starting to come around. Got a couple of rebounds too. He wasn't the worst player I've ever seen out there, obviously he was drafted too highly but at least he had good effort. He even adjusted his game so he wasn't getting blocked all day too lol.

Tough loss for the Cats and for May, I was really sad to hear this news yesterday. They fucked up on this one, lets hope Morrison isn't the next wasted first round pick.

Actually, you're right. I looked at his stats and he had some nice games last season.

what sucks even more is the Bobcats are low on big guys again. May done, Harrington all but done. Brezec sucks. Hopefully Dudley can pick up some of the slack even though hes a little undersized at power foward. looks like another year of Okafor trying to hold down the middle by himself.

I hope Hollins put some weight on since he's 'starting'.

Not certain about that. There were others that had promise that didnt live up to their potential. Names that come to mind are Brad Daugherty (back) and Eric Montross (foot). Those guys were studs at UNC but never had the success they were predicted to have in the NBA. But, they managed to have decent-tenured careers. We haven't seen enough of Sean May in the NBA to make that decision. Perhaps if he can get traded to another team, he could have some success once he returns from his knee issues.

Brad Daugherty was a 5 time all-star and #1 overall pick. not even close to a dud.

The bust part was when the back issues started flaring up. Just imagine what he could have been if he remained healthy.

I don't think they necessarily made a mistake in drafting him, but they've certainly made a mistake in continually making him a big part of their plans even after they knew he was an injury waiting to happen. Same thing with Morgan and the Panthers.
