Jenkins' views on heart and passion.

If only the Panthers hired Tony Robbins, they'd be going to the Super Bowl. Their malaise has nothing to do with talent, a flawed roster, or a lack of execution. It's all about passion. Our fans are fucking geniuses to recognize that.

 

That has been going on since 1997.

 

Something tells me that Jenkins has a specific player in mind when he's making these comments. Before too long, he's gonna slip up and say the player's name to someone and all hell will break loose....

 

I hadn't read Jenk's post game comments until after coming here this AM. Just read it and have no problem with anything he said. He said we as a team - I didn't really read any hint he meant this player or that though I know the fan base is hunting for a feud most likely between Jenks & Pepppers. And it may be that he has some guys in mind, but what he SAID was true and politically correct as far as "we all stunk it up".

Can King play safety? He made a nice stop on the interception that was supposed to be on him.

Sigh, while we have holes that are consistently NOT addressed by Fox & Company - they have the old throw any old body out there because that position isn't key attitude - this team IS better then what they've produced thus far even in the wins. Atlanta stopped themselves as much (maybe more?) then we did in that win.

 

Pat Yasinskas, of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers DL Kris Jenkins blasted the team after their 20-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 4. Jenkins called the game garbage and felt the players owed fans an apology. Jenkins added, "This is our issue as a team. As a team collectively, we have no heart. We have no energy. We have no drive. Football is about pride and passion. I'm going to repeat that again. Football is about pride and passion. The pride and the passion that you have for this game makes you want to win. It's not about the money. It's not about looking the part. It's not about standing on the field so everybody can see you on TV and that you look good. It's about pride and heart. If you have those two, if you win or lose, you're going to look like a football team."

Jenkins was really baiting the Bucs in the pregame, jawing at them from just this side of mid field. Several Bucs were being pulled back by teammates.

 

I saw way too many panthers players laughing and smiling both on the field and on the sidelines during and after they were getting their asses handed to them. That's enough for me to question their heart. Although, in my mind, there is no question- they have none. I'm dissapointed peppers and company think it's so funny they suck. I don't want to watch them anymore. Their lack of heart and fire has managed to turn such a diehard fan like myself against them. sad really. It's not that I mind them losing, but them not putting up a fight in the process is rather discouraging.

 

If JR wants to make a statement he has the opportunity. Extend Jenkins.

 

How many times was Jenkins in the backfield yesterday? He is calling out his teammates because they arent pulling their end, and I'm glad to hear someone on this team is angry.
