how do you figure that? your OL is average at best in pass protection and gets no push in the running game. your primary back can't hit the line with power and fumbles the ball. your second RB is worse than your first. you have no WR outside of Smitty and your TE looks awesome compared to previous TE's on this team but is probably below average league wide. you had a damn fine QB but his backup sucks. outside of that we have a lot for Davidson to work with.

i really don't think the problem is X's and O's as it is a sheer lack of talent resulting from horrible drafting.

same could be said for a lot of angry postings right after a loss. Maybe there should be a little more reverence toward those. Regardless, I'm usually up to talk about next year from April on, but I just can't do it after a loss.

PS - lolz to the Davis/WLB thing. I don't think that'll fix anything.

it's gotten push this year, and the backs have had good enough averages.

Two things, though. One is that we aren't executing, and two, we're not keeping drives around long enough for the running game to specifically benefit.

Seeing those early deep balls, they smacked of desperation and showed we weren't using logic. The scripted plays, the interesting formations, right now they're not around.

Compared to most rants, I think he managed to make some good points.

I think we need some fresh talent at DT. It kinda sucks how Tony Brown and Jovan Haye and each starting for good defenses, and we let those guys go for the Mooreheads and Carstenses of the world. That seems to reflect our unwillingness to make changes and try new things with our personnel.

What took us so fucking long to put DeAngelo back at KR? Goings is completely worthless in that role. In addition to a coaching change, we really need to find some real fucking returners. Returners. Multiple options, not just one guy we draft and hope things turn out right.

agree on moving Beason inside if Morgan can't go (it's a sad commentary on our players when the announcers say that Beason is our best defensive player). don't think Seward will fair much better than Anderson as I thought he sucked in preseason.

ya are kidding? jake was 27-41 with 3 TDs (despite numerous drops in that game) and facing a lot more pressure than was Carr. the O was ineffective for much of that game but I don't think you can point at Jake. in any case, Carr was much, much worse today than Jake was in the Houston game.

to say you are OK must mean you want someone gone awfully bad because there is no way anyone can be feeling OK in any other shape or form about that game.

Right now, it should be Diggs, Beason, Davis. Anderson looks totally clueless at MLB.

I'd still rather read about this year's team, personally. But that's me one way or the other. I don't look at next year as a fresh start or an opportunity to fix. We can turn this around now.

    ,
Agree. You keep the young guys, you don't spend $2 mil on shitty 4th, 5th year depth. Haye probably wouldn't be more than a backup here, but he'd have been nice to have added to McClover there, and then we're drafting an actual DB in the 3rd. Same with Bush - he's not a great DB, but he's NFL quality, and we should've kept him. He'd have started last year and he would give us some options should we have needed to try Marshall at S.

Another option would be nice, yes. We really should've had DW back there some anyway, no matter how much he might mean to the offense. Speaking of which, he's not looked so hot inside in the regular season.
