Not really. We had one good drive against Houston. The second touchdown came from a fumble recovery on Houston's 13, and the third was all Steve in garbage time. Jake would have been better than Carr, but no way would he have even made this close with those drops and our inability to run consistently. I will say that Carr had better make more of an effort to get the ball to Smith or he's going to get punched.

We ran some of them. Carr bought on the sideline routes, and the underneath stuff, but we didn't do quite enough to make them pay for it. We also didn't do nearly enough to run up the middle, though part of running attempts includes 3rd down. Carr's early third downs, he just didn't hit his open man, the first two. The third, DW dropped a screen ball that might've had a chance.

Speaking of which, we heard about the screen game, and I've yet to see much about that.

Not saying we were the 89 49ers vs the Texans. I know how we got out points, that it was in large part Smitty and a short field.

It was better than today. One good drive and a big play by Steve and it's a game in the 4th.

If Foster doesn't fumble or the receivers make some catches, it's a game in the 4th. I agree that we were worse today than we've been this season, but our output against Houston would not have been enough against Tampa Bay or any team. We have issues. Frankly, we were a little lucky to beat St. Louis and Atlanta.

If only Trogo could go back to working as DL coach. Fox/Hurney: not getting any safeties and keeping Morgan risked subbing MLB and working castoff safeties in at the same time. Granted Seward was supposed to cover things, but too much change at once. Burn.

    But we're 2-2, and it's a mini rebuilding year.

I'm not going to be quick judging Davidson, he didn't buy the groceries and he didn't pull a gun on a stripper. It's going to take time. What concerns me is that we're getting physically beat up front. Maybe they're thinking too much but a lot of it looks like not whipping ass one on one. That's never good.

I always thought Henning called the games the way wanted Fox wanted. I think Davidson is doing the same thing.

It could be, or it could be that Davidson is still inexperienced enough that he doesn't want to go his own way and is making an attempt to stay familiar for the players. Whatever the case, it's basically the same offense, and that's frustrating.

wat we need is a new DB coach and DL coach. There is too much talent on this team to look like a bunch of fuck-ups every week. Fox is a good coach but cant pick Panther staff well. As far as Juilis Peppers goes, he wont leave because he lives in Charlotte and respects the PAnthers and Fox too much to leave while we are in a hole like this

Posting on TBR is like writing in a journal. It's a way to cope with stress. I think we all write things that we end up laughing about, especially after games like this.

That said, there's a lot of truth in that rant.
