Hope Solo rips US Soccer coach Greg Ryan

I am not defending Solo for coming out and saying what she did - especially the part about ripping Scurry. As shitty as the situation was, I still think that she should have kept it in house.

About the only situation that I can think of that approaches the scope for its sport is when Shula benched Morral for Griese's return in the Super Bowl, and if I remember correctly, there were plenty of people - including some of his players - who were questioning the move at the time (I could be wrong about that though). It is a little different though because Griese had been the starter until breaking his leg, but still Morall had not lost a game in that span.

Most noticeable for me is the lack of team members coming out against Solo or for Scurry and the coach. That tells me they think it pretty much lost them the match.

And sending her home was an idiotic overreaction.

he has done things of that nature in the past-see the Jeff Garcia is gay comments (or something to that effect)-and he was ripped then too.

Weird. I'd never noticed how much Solarte looks like Peter King until I saw the coach's ass cheeks resting on his shoulders.

 

Goalkeepers, pitchers, QB's, maybe WR's....half the NBA (Practice?). And the player had better be good. I was trying to think of folks yesterday that might be in a position to speak out. I hadn't really though about the stakes you mention in a later post.

 

TO has thrown teammates under the bus, and has gone after coaches in the media too.
