Halo 3

Halo 3 killed XBox Live on Tuesday I played for 30 minutes and it did seem slower

 

That was mine until I found out you can remove the turrets. That's sweet as hell.

 

somebody busted out some sort of flame thrower when i was playing earlier. I almost picked it up but i got kilt.

 

The one weakness of turrets is that they make you so slow (or at least it seems that way), but you can still jump without any penalty. Vehicles are very well done in the game too. The single player campaign is kind of short, though, and the lack of bosses always seems weird.

 

yeah, but it's all out war. i guess that's somewhat realistic. not like we had some huge showdown with saddam.

I've been overly impressed. people that slam it saying it's the same thing must not buy madden every year or tiger woods.

the gameplay is roughly the same with improved graphics, weapons and vehicles. I've loved the franchise since day one and they've only improved it since the beginning.

 

yay. i'd love to see a fps where gearing up with ridiculous amount of armor and weapons had an impact on your movement. i couldn't stand that about quake (3 in particular). i want to see a game where loading up with 40 rockets for the rocket launcher might be a negative if you, say, get too close to an explosion.

 

I am in total agreement. I have played the first 7 levels and while they do seem shorter than the the levels of the first two, it could just be that I am having so much fun that time is flying by real fast.

One of the cool things that I tried out tonight was playing the co-op with a couple of guys on my friends list. That was a lot of fun, my son still hasn't stop talking about that. We were playing on normal so it was kind of a cake walk through the level we played but it will cool to ramp it up a notch on the difficulty levels and have 4 players working in tandem.

 

well no shit. They're also allowing free access to xbox live gold until thursday in an attempt to attach XBL memberships to Halo 3 sales.

my 360 has locked up numerous times trying to look at my friends list and other actions with the dashboard. Nice to know i paid for this shit annually.

 

Multi-player is awesome.
