    :2thumbsup:

Although in fairness, I would say that most Panthers fans naively and incorrectly believed that the Prowler's comments were responsible for those sacks.

i guess i should have asked for one credible person. ;)

fox, jake and mitchell all pointing to the Prowler inciting the Bucs defense. "fan of the day" cancelled by the organization immediately following this debacle. rice and sapp pointing at the scoreboard in response and then getting the sacks. and, mags is wrong, jake had less time on those passes than he normally had.

coaches school their players to not provide poster material for other teams. they use it to their advantage when other teams provide it for them. players get fired up and when they do they play harder, faster and meaner. you obviously have never been there so you don't have a clue. you have lost all credibility, not that you had much with me anyway, by arguing otherwise.

and i can show you a whole lot more posts from credible posters on this board that know the Prowler incited the Bucs but i'm not gonna drag others into your toilet bowl.

Regardless of anyone's opinion of the article, it's probably on the Panther's bulletin board. If not, the defense has been made aware of it.

But that doesnt matter because passion has nothing to do with football...

anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
    undoubtedly true.

I do believe that confidence and passion can be infectuous. I want a team that believes, and I'd exhaust all options to get that there every game. I don't believe that a player's meeting would fix all ails, no. To that end, anything that could get fixed, would be things that don't need to be there anyway - personality conflicts, for instance. In that awful book on the 96 season, it credits that meeting, so there is a school of thought on it, but regardless, we shouldn't need a team meeting or panic to start playing the way we should already be fucking playing.

when was the last time you watched these two passes? I made that comment having watched them that week. I can't tell you anything about that pair of plays right now, and I have a very, very hard time believing you have that level of recall.

Actually what I'm saying is that if you're not already passionate, you're not playing football in the NFL. When guys lose that passion, they quit. Wins and losses are not determined by who gets the most excited, what fans say over the loudspeaker, or rubbing tiger balm on your genitals. The Panthers players consistently show effort on every play, and I can't think of any one of them that seems lazy or indifferent. Like I said, when you can point me to some evidence that they are, then I'll listen. Until then it's just a case of ignorant fans not knowing enough to understand the intricacies of the game, and being unable to comprehend why the team actually looked bad, they blame it on something generic that they can understand - in this case, passion.

Everyone can get in a lull regardless of what sport they're playing, because you get in a lull or down spot doesnt mean you retire or quit the sport. Thats when you need that extra little boost from whatever source you might derive it from, in the case of the Panthers, I contend it needs to be a player, or leader, to say, get off your asses and lets punch them in the mouth.

Go for a run, say 13 miles or so, tell me if you get in a lull and need some motivation after 10 miles...
