Fox clearly doesn't believe the nonsense you're spewing. Speaking of which, what are waiting for? Go be with your kind.

Every year Fox has been here, we've had games like Houston. I don't think it's new or different.

    2002:

    0-30 ATL
    0-41 ATL
    14-30 Pitt

    2003:

    17-37 Titans

    2004:

    8-30 Philly

    2005:

3-13 Chicago ( not a score blowout but they murdered us)

    2006:

    6-20 ATL
14-35 Dallas ( MUCH LIKE LAST WEEK )
We also got killed against NY Giants and Pitt, but that was with Weinke.

My belief is that enthusiasm is great to have, but not a must-have. In this game, we were simply outcoached on both sides of the ball. There were mis-executions, but we didn't adjust to Schaub's passes over the middle and they did so with impugnity. We didn't adjust with any running plays that I saw either.

I am still in disbelief that Fox called a punt with 8 minutes left down by 3 scores. That was essentially saying "we lost, but we DON'T want them to run the score up on us."

Like that matters in the end. All that matters is the big L in our win/loss column and that is what will be remembered later in the year. Losing by an extra touchdown because we gave them the ball in our territory would have been long forgotten. And that does not even beg the question of how much faith our coaching staff has that they think the odds of looking bad are soo high, that it's not even worth going for. I was very, very disappointed on that call. People at the bar that aren't even Panther fans were also scratching their heads and commiserating with me...

If he was giving these guys an earful behind the scenes, I would expect to see more heart a la Steve Smith on the field, and I just dont see it. They seem uninspired to me, and I think it sucks, whoever is to blame for it. And before you people go off on it being one game, it hasnt been just one game...

True, and it happens with every team, even the Patriots:

    2006: 21-0 Miami
    2005: 41-17 San Diego, 40-21 Indianapolis
    2004: 34-20 Pittsburgh
    2003: 31-0 Buffalo
    2002: 24-7 Tennessee
    2001: 30-10 Miami
    2000: 34-17 NYJ, 34-9 Detroit

Did you guys think the team lacked fire or emotion when it was going to the superbowl or the NFC championship game? This argument is just the result of trying to find something to blame our struggles on.

The real reason for our struggles over the past few years is that we have not been able to run the ball consistently on offense and our defense tends to give up too many big plays. Our passing game while not elite is good enough to win. Our defense is good most of the time but has the strange lapses where Andre Johnson is running free, someone misses a tackle on Chris Cooley or can't tackle Julius Jones. I am not sure why this sometimes happens but I think it has more to do with a lack of talent at safety than it does with lack of emotion.

If we can get our defense adjusted to cover our scrubs at safety and get our ground game going we are going to be OK. I would really like to see a 1000 yard back this season. I don't care if it is Foster or Williams.

I know you're trying to be clever here, but this actually reinforces Collin's point. Every team, no matter how good your team is, they are going to have games where it just doesn't happen.

he clearly believes that the game involves more than simply X's and O's and talent. the players gave credit to Jake for coming in and getting them fired up in the huddle when he relieved Peete in the Jacksonville game. of course you're devoid of class or any understanding other than you're overly analytical anal viewpoints so i wouldn't expect anything more from you. but carry on. it's amusing if nothing else.

Remember that Buffalo opening day? That came right after Belichik cut Ty law, and Law signed with Buffalo. The talking heads were destroying the pats that day.
