I figured I was too far upside down on our Dodge Caravan to trade it in but I did not realize just how bad it was until I tried. It is a 2005 model. It does not have many bells and whistles, pretty much a basic van. It retailed new for about $19k but with the rebate I got it for $15k. Now slightly less than two years later its trade in value is about $6k. It has 35k miles on it and is still under warranty. That is a loss of 60% of its value in less than two years.

Anyway I will just keep it until its paid off I guess but I wont be buying another Chrysler.....

It is not a bad van. I just moved to a house on a bumpy dirt road and wanted something that could handle that better, especially with winter coming. I guess the van will have to do though. Not like I can hurt its resale value....

Why don't you sell it yourself? The KBB retail value for a standard 05 Caravan is $11,565.

I would be all about that but it is hard to do. I have advertised it in the local sales paper for something near that price and got no calls. I even talked to the dealer about selling it for me on consignment but he said all I could get for it was about $8k. I think that was just his way of telling me no though.
