Survivorman

Loved thius show when it first came out, lately though it's gotten pretty lame.
The Labrador episode they cut his week short (after 5 days) because conditions began to deteriorate and conditions became unsafe? isn't that the point of the show?

last night he's surviving a scuba diving abandoment on a Pacific Island. He had a wrecked boat and tons of supplies compared what he would have had in the first season.

and for the love of God can this guy ever catch a fish? he's tried to fish in like 12 episodes now and I still havent seen him catch anything.

I think you're seeing the fallout from the whole "man vs. wild is fake" debate. He does fail at things a lot more this season than he did last season. He seems to mention his safety crew a whole lot more as well.

 

Reality shows without drama suck.

Saw the Alaska episode the other night, 600 feet of fishing net found on the beach and still couldn't catch a fish. then he tried to make a fish hook from a broken bottle.

 

I get a kick out of his comments on not killing anything or taking birch bark cause it might kill the tree...well unless you are trying to survive. Screw the damn tree, if I need the bark to start a fire to survive I would give a damn about the tree.

 

I've seen the guy on other shows and he's more interesting there. Survivorman itself is dumb, although at least his camerawork has gotten better. I watched some of the earliest episodes and they gave me a headache. I'll take Bear Grylls doing some cool shit and then staying at the nearest Hilton any day.
