Too bad the guy who played Ernest died.

He would be a killer Murdoch....hell he was such a good actor he could have player BA as well.

Fred Berry (3...God Rest his fatass bandana-wearing soul) would have made a kick ass BA. wonder if Haywood Nelson is available. or Rodney Allen Rippy

    too old.

Personally I'd switch Gibson for George Clooney. I'm not a big Clooney fan, but the part of Hannibal seems made for him. I do however love his other choices. Luke Wilson would be less "over the top" than Owen would so he'd fit the Face role better. Young as Murdoch is solid as well, and the choice of Terry Tate for BA is by FAR the best I've heard in some time.

Something else I liked was his choice of Dirk Benedict to play Stockwell.

Clooney might actually be a better fit, but afterall this whole exercise is a "what if" as the author said. There are more than a few old tv series or movie remakes that might actually be able to catch the spirit of the shows/movies they are modeled on, but please not another Dragnet or Starsky and Hutch fiasco. If you're going to do it, do right by the original.
