    All the ones at BofA and Allegacy Credit Union are.

    Regarding the rates, the amount I would be depositing is above the Jumbo min but they have the same balance tier but different rates. I guess the Jumbo could have transaction limitations but they aren't detailed on the Allegacy site. I was just curious if there is some huge fundamental difference I'm not aware of.

    Check for any withdrawel limits along with any average daily balance limits.

    You're right...there are money market deposit accounts and money market mutual funds. The mutual funds are not FDIC insured.

    sorry, I didn't specify it was a Money Market deposit account.

    I realize I could get a better rate at HSBCDirect or ING but I'd prefer to keep it somewhere I already have a relationship with which is BofA or Allegacy.

    After asking around alot I never heard anything bad about ING. I just set up the account in less than 5 minutes.
