Yes and no. 470 yards is indefensible regardless of the circumstances, but a lot of that was from Chris Johnson out of the backfield, and I think a lot of teams struggle with covering RBs in the passing game. Pinkney is also a gamer. I can't count the number of times Carolina would have had a normal quarterback sacked but he scrambled to not only get away, but find someone downfield for a completion. He was very impressive.

The silver lining from my perspective is that ECU couldn't run for shit on Carolina even though they did pretty well at that against Virginia Tech. The secondary needs to shore up, but I think most weeks the defense will be adequate, and the passing game really looks sharp.

    Elric:
I don't think you realize how good ECU is. They could easily finish 8-4 or potentially even better. I wouldn't even be shocked if they upset West Virginia.

Skip Holtz is doing an absolutely fantastic job down east. His recruiting is really starting to show and I am very impressed. ECU is a good team, although they were 5.5 point underdogs in the game against carolina. Why this is, I really don't know, the pirates went bowling last year. Wish I could have been in G-Vegas for that win.....GO PIRATES!

That nickname irritates the living shit out of me because it's so ridiculously stupid. For a college town, Greenville has no night life.

yeah, I just moved here, and all I've been to so far were the few bars down on charles boulevard or whatever that street name changes into. Not really great stuff. Gotta go see what else is around.

I've been here three years and I couldn't tell you. The college kids seem to congregate in that stretch northwest of campus. I live on the southern outskirts and the streets get empty by 10pm. You find some place worth a damn, feel free to give me a call.

I think that name has been there for many years. The downtown scene used to be much better when I went to school there. I ventured down there after the game to get a bit to eat at my friends restaurant and it was pretty dead for a Sat. night at 11:30. The streets used to be packed on a regular basis.

None the less, the game was a blast. Sat right in front of three rows of UNC fans. We both respectfully talked trash back and forth all night. But then shook hands afterwards, it was fun. Especially since the game was back in forth. I hope the kicking game improves as the year goes on. Other teams on our schedule aren't going to let us squeak it out in the end after missing 3 flipping field goals.

Pinkney's 406 yards is now second all time in the ECU record books. I am sure Garrard or Blake has the #1 spot. I hope he can so it again next week. Looks like drunken Kass better start looking for a transfer. Holtz ain't gonna let him back in the game if this keeps up. Nor should he after the last two performances.

    Go Pirates!!!

Blake was actually there on the sidelines. I was standing near him during the game. Dude has packed on some weight.

But yeah, no way Kass gets the job back after the way the team has played very well the first two games.
