One of THE worst movies I've ever seen. What a steaming pile of shit. Even the "story" behind the movie was stupid. Bad acting. TONS of holes in the plot. This should end M. Night's career. And WTF did he give himself a major role for? He can't act AT ALL. BAD BAD BAD movie.

I think M Night is overrated. I thought Signs was the biggest piece of shit ever. I thought the Sixth Sense was boring as hell but had a fantastic ending. the end saved that movie from total crap. What was the movie of the people living in the town and had the "monsters" when in actuality it was like a sealed off community or something? That movie was one of the worst movies I had ever seen.

The Village. Saw it in the theater. I figured out the "twist" about 45 minutes in. The Village was MUCH better than this pile of dogshit.

the 6th sense is one of my favorite movies. it actually IS a dull movie until you realize what is going on. signs is kinda dull, but has some redeeming qualities. same with unbreakable, but unbreakable is really just a highly subtle comic book hero origin story. the village was not so good. i've seen a bit of lady in the water (tivo) but haven't caught the rest of it yet.

i think the guy's problem is that he's writing twilight zone episodes and trying to make them into movies. they're all interesting "what if" scenarios but they don't tend to have enough going on to keep a story moving for 90 minutes. the sixth sense worked well because the slow pacing and tension are expected in a ghost story and just when you're deciding the movie wasn't what you were expecting, the movie floors you with the best twist i've ever seen a movie pull off.

I didn't want to rent this based on previews, friend said he liked it so said why not? I was surprised that it wasn't what I thought it was and say, not bad. I thought Unbreakable was horrible. Just a waste.
