Georgia Southern never beat a D-1A ranked team.

It looks like the coach's poll is strictly D-1A, but I'm not sure about the AP.

"Appalachian State is not eligible to receive votes in the AP Top 25 poll because the school is not in the Football Bowl Subdivision."

Going out to the stadium tonight to welcome the team back between 9 and 10. Way to go mountaineers. I wish I could've gone, but I was glued to the tv watching. They're expecting a big crowd at the stadium tonight and the local radio stations are reporting that espn is sending a crew from the va tech game down to cover asu returning to boone.

Great great win. We listened to the game on the way to Columbia and went nuts when they blocked that field goal. ASU prolly goes undefeated this season.

The App win will give the school more attention than the back to back national championships. I thought App would give them a battle but falter late. In some ways that's what happened but Michigan went into the tank on that FG try. Great blocking on that one, Lloyd.

I thought the idea was to give him 3 chances at the fg.

    Hey Colon...

Did you forget that Paul Thompson was a QB to start with, not a wide receiver? He came to OU as a QB, was the backup to Jason White, was named the starter by Stoops for the first game of 2005, played poorly and was replaced by future part-time car salesman Rhett "I Don't Give A Damn About Actually Working" Bomar. He volunteered to move to wide receiver to help the team and get on the field and was looking very good. When Bomar was kicked off the team, Stoops came and asked him if he would move back to QB. He did.....now did you forget or were just ignorant? I'm betting on ignorant.

Lou Holtz said that it didn't look like an upset to him, but that the best team won.
