    as expected, 2 QB's

Cutting Shelton, Hurney (paraphrasing): "numbers game, Haynes brought us something more. Wish Eric well, and hope he catches on somewhere"

On Grigsby: "D-Line decisions were hard, Otis made plays. He's got great work ethic, showed tools, gotten better every year, every practice....athletic, our kind of person, and deserved that spot."

On Ball: "good camp, pre-season games...high energy..can only keep so many guys...certainly would have loved to keep him, just part of the numbers."

On safeties and waivers: "We will look at wires, not by position, but by players that can make us better. never know--wait and see...our pro scouts will be here late, we'll meet as a staff Sunday. Look more at players than positions..."

On Teal: "He came in, young player, instinctive, got better as we went..got potential and made plays. got better every week. fortunate to get him as a rookie FA, see how it goes."

ON Chris Horn: "Came in, had people notice him from minicamp on....experienced, versatile, good camp--just like all the guys--they earn it with performance. some decisions very hard, but thats good to be in (as a team), overall."

8 LB's, 4 CB's special teams driven?: "try to keep best 53....whats best for you overall, ST what we do overall, but just 1 part of it...good to have depth there...hard to find during the season, so we kept 8."

why the delay: Some teams wait until 10, we didn't want to do that...sooner names come out, other teams have more time to look at the,,,want to bring some practice squad guys back."

PS guys: "Not gonna talk PS stuff...we'll see at noon tomorrow who clears, and we'll make decisions then."

PS guys being cut and returning:"they have to clear waivers, then you go through the process of signing PS contracts..how many and who is hard to say."

best I could do while trying to keep the keyboard quiet.

yep, some one gets the axe once Bridges two games in the penalty box are over.

Grigsby over Ball is a little surprising.

6 WR and 8 LB is absurd, should have at least gone for a 5th CB with one of those slots

Keeping both Butler and Montgomery is going to come back and bite us in the ass.

True, I'd send Horn packing as well for Biddle, Ball, & Newton.

I'm guessing Montgomery will be gone when Bridges comes back. Otherwise that'll leave us with just Butler backing up the T's

    Or maybe Brandon Jamison.

probably Montgomery, but there's no way in hell Butler is the best available option at backup OT. If I see one more comment about him having good footwork I'm going to puke. The fucker is trying out for the NFL, not Dancing with the Stars.

I like Butler. Montgomery gets about 2 games, until Bridges comes back. They almost always keep 9. Neither of those CBs they cut are very good, so it doesn't upset me. If we have an injury, they'll probably still be there to sign. Besides, Morton can probably go to PS.

Cutting Ball was stupid. He was our only backup DE who isn't a liability against the run.
