A few good things and a lot of bad ones. The Panthers look like a 6-10 or 7-9 team from what pre-season play shows so far. They are going to have to step it up in a lot of areas, coaching as much as the players, if they plan on making the playoffs. Man, ST sucks as bad as I've ever seen them (although Robinson has his moments)...

Yeah, the D sure is a whole different unit with Morgan in the game :handjob:

In the past we win all of our pre season games and then fold for the real season. At least this year we won't start the season thinking we are the shit.

I figured the OL, and O in general would need more than preseason to get comfortable in the new O, but didn't realize that we'd still be trying OL combinations in the third preseason game.

    Crossman, wtf?

Don't feel too bad, the Patriots are going to rape a lot of teams this year...and Belichek holds most of his offensive sets back during the pre season.

What I would worry about is the sorry fans at the game last night. Mid way through the 3rd quarter that place was empty. I know the apologists will tell me "it was a pre season game...it was a blow out, blah, blah, blah" but you just don't see stadiums that empty in other towns. Especially on a friday night game nationally televised against the Patriots.

oh my god...here we go again. trust me...under the same circumstances, that is exactly what would have happened in virtually every other stadium in the NFL.

i get so tired of the fans in carolina being blamed in any way when the product on the field looks like a big pile of shit. there is probably only one place in the NFL (Green Bay) that is immune to the people hitting the exits when the home team is getting their assed handed to them.

I was out with my parents, and my VCR misbehaved, so I only saw a little of the 3rd Q. My guess is they've seen enough of Johnson to know he'll make the team. They don't know who to keep of Grisbee and Ball, so they got the playing time.

Perhaps STs is trying different combos too to find the right players. I guess Crossman's made alot of progress on finding the wrong players.

I know that we've had pages and pages of discussion about our drafts/FA, but maybe now its really come home to roost. We don't have quality depth or even starters at S where we need it. We took weak versatile OL, and they get run over on STs. No Ss. Not just this year. We failed to bring in a quality S for 5 years. So, this is probably the year of judgement, and we'll see. I don't care about the preseason record. I do hope they're finding out what they need to know about which players to hang their hats on.

I guess Colbert won't be cut.

I did see Jake moving around. He didnt do much of that last year. Good to see.

I thought Beason looked ok but he looked like he attended mike minter's school of no wrap tackling- one shoulder no mercy isn't going to work he needs to actually tackle people.

Next weeks excuse will probably be, "it was a school night and she wouldnt let me stay out too late"...while the Black & Gold remain, cheering victory, till the last whistle.

    Bullshit.

Ever heard the saying 'the more upset someone gets, the closer you are to the truth'? You're getting pretty upset. The Panther fans are some of the weakest in the league.
