    Convince me why I should rent instead of buying. My house is under contract and I'm thinking about renting.

    That would require a discussion.

    For starters:

    You're single.
    Rent is cheap and trouble free if you rent right - zero liability / maintenance.
    YOu can move anytime with trivial costs compared to owning.
    Renters tend to not waste money on luxury furnishings, art, paint, etc.
    You can invest the differrence in cost / down payment.
    If after a month you decide you really don't like something about the home -neighbors, neighborhood, the fucking closet, etc. - you can leave.
    It's easy to rent in a swanky neighborhood, it's tough to buy.

    Sec. 15-69. Amplified sound.

    (a) It shall be unlawful to:

    (1) Operate or allow the operation of any sound amplification equipment so as to create sounds registering fifty-five (55) db(A) between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. or fifty (50) db(A) between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., as measured anywhere within the boundary line of the nearest residentially occupied property, except in accordance with a permit obtained from the noise control officer.
