Quietly, New England is 0-2 and sucking bad against the run.

If you are happy with run of the mill then rave on.

I don't think it's a lack of heart but they simply aren't as good of a team or as well coached.

I'm not happy with everything the team does. Not afraid to admit it.

I just think most fans are too fickle.

How do you expect fans to be loyal if the players aren't there?

Don't know if I agree that we don't have pride, exactly ... maybe it's just that we don't have history. The fact is that we don't have consistency and we need that badly.

Silver is just perseason winning by 30 or loseing by 30 mean nothing you can go 4-0 in the perseason and yet still don't make the playoff. On the other hand you can go 0-4 in the perseason and yet still win it all

It will take time to build a real hardcore fanbase, sure. I just think we've been around long enough for people to know the difference between the preseason and regular season.

There's really not much to be gloomy about if you're a Panther fan. We've been the best NFC South team over the last five years, and we have two of the league's greatest players on each side of the football. It's not like we're the Browns or Lions.

We have been around long enough for most of us to know preseason from regular and I think most of us know that and are willing to wait to pass judgement, but when Jake and Steve Smith, two seasoned vets, are so out of sync, I have to admit it makes me nervous.

Preseason is fairly meaningless, but yeah, you don't want to see what happened Friday night regardless of importance. I know it's a "new offense" and we're playing with positions a bit and it may actually be that Fox & Co truly are using these throw away games to just "experiment" and find the right combinations and even see "what would happen if so and so was out and we did this?", but even the seasoned guys weren't looking stellar and that is at least a bit troubling regardless of our slate still being clean when it counts.

Even the players had a look of "what the hell?" on the sideline and it's not like they played the Eagles the very first day of camp.
