    nice windup

I remember when he was drafted the Texans were doing some drills with a bar on a stick that was held up that he would have to throw over. He had a somewhat compact throw then but it's almost rediculous now.

I missed much of the game due to a dinner party I was forced to attend. [IMG]

In any case, yeah, Carr's arm angle is low and strange. Foster did run well and should benefit from the freedom to cut back, but I still have a heart attack every time he holds the ball out one handed when fighting off tacklers.

he's throwing deep there, but he shouldn't need to tip back that far for that, either. You might exaggerate like that for a pump fake deep against a team that looks a lot, but whatever he's doing there is not mechanically sound.

Still, he threw well most of the time but his decision making under duress was concerning.

I guess "compact" wasn't a good description now that I look at what I posted.

Long but around the 5 minute point you can see how the threw at Fresno. It's a bit sidearmed but doesn't seem as exaggerated as it does now.

Carr & Delhomme both scare the shit out of me the way they hold that ball in the pocket...it's what every DE in the league wants

The gloves Carr is wearing have the Reebok NFL logo on them. As far as I can find, Reebok doesn't make golf gloves and I can't find that style on Reebok's site. They could be custom made or just some basic receiver type glove.

After looking at the pictures from the Observer, he is wearing they same style as Goings, just all white instead of all black.
    yes, I am bored

Looks like a pimp w/ the white gloves.

I thought he made some nice throws, even thought the TD to Biddle was pretty much a gimmie (Corey Webster really sucks now, btw). You don't want to see him running backwards under pressure, that is a little disturbing, but I think he'll be okay once he gets work with the first team. I'd be running out of the stadium before the play if I had Mathis, Hangartner and Butler blocking for me

Baz looked good. I like our QB situation.

    Beuerlein has Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

I also like using the TE on the stick route. It's an easy first down if the defense is willing to leave that short area vulnerable, and I'm glad Jake took it.

The running game was very nice, but I hope people don't start expect too much. It's the first preseason game, and we're still in a transition period. And the Giants are really questionable up front.

    Taye Biddle is Mr. August.

Nice to see Horn returning punts. He's not going to break anything, but he did a nice job of protecting the ball and that's something we haven't had. He also made some nice plays at wideout.

    let's see:

    Smith
    Colbert
    Carter
    Jarrett
    Robinson
    Biddle
    Horn

we're not keeping 7, and I'm not even sure if Carter is a lock to make the team. Who gets cut?
