Depends on the criteria Richardson has set for statues, Mills and McCormack have them more for being part of the heart and soul of the organization then because of PRO-Bowl work.

I think (Richardson would say) Minter's a no brainer to have a statue so he can point out there and say, "That's the kind of guy's we want here."

I always thought ring of honor = statue = ring of honor. I don't think I've ever seen that written in stone, but I certainly was under that impression. Minter is a great guy and a model for what I want to see in a Panther, but I don't think he gets a statue - it just sets the bar too low for the "on field" accomplishments - no pro bowl is probably the main reason I'm leaning that way.

if that were true, Mike McCormack would have one, and the PSL Statue would be a seat.....

No, you don't. Gross won't ever be deserving, or Wharton. Mangum is better example since he just retired but he doesn't even deserve to be in the conversation. By other teams standards Minter doesn't qualify, but Richardson is a different cat, I bet he does it based on Minter's all around contribution to the team and the community.

and for the record, I'm torn on whether I agree.

Furthermore, to me, the Anthony Bright incident removes Smith.

Kasay is a question mark (although the kick-off out of bounds would take my vote away.

Peppers would be the only other one that I can think of on the current roster that even deserves mention at this point.

I love Minter but besides playing his whole career here whats he done to deserve a statue/Ring of Honor? He was above average for the most part but never Pro Bowl level.

If we let him in, do we let Kris Mangum, Matt Campbell, Frank Garcia, Damien Richardson, or Micheal Bates in to the Ring? Hell No.

I'll probably shed a tear when he comes out for a halftime retirement ceremony but there is no way in hell he should be in the Ring of Honor. We cheapened it enough putting the PSL owners in it and I'm freaking one of them.

Randy White, Roger Staubach, Emmitt SMith, Tom Landry, Don Meredith, Micheal Irvin, Troy Aikman and Tony Dorsett... I hate Dallas but thats the kind of guys for a Ring of Honor. We can't make a history overnight; it takes time. And if we induct every guy who plays above average a few years and is a great guy, were gonna run out of room real damn quick.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be honored in some way, he should... just not in the Ring of Honor.

Only guys I see right now Ring worthy would be Peppers and Smitty.

For those wondering, Statue = Ring
