    I think it is a NBA rule that each team must be on National TV at least once per year.

    pretty sure they played New Orleans the first year, and Orlando the past two on National TV

    We were scheduled to play the Hornets on national TV, but that game got taken off the schedule about halfway through the season. I don't think it actually aired nationally in the end.

    did a little digging and you are right. heres a schedule for the league. 76'rs, Pacers and the Hawks get no National games. bunch of teams that only get one or two. IMO one reason the NBA struggles with ratings is because the same 8 teams are on all of the time.

    Does it truly apply in the NFL? I never really gave that much thought.

    Bobcats have made 1 Nat'l TV appearance--that was last year v. Orlando.
