Lugo's actually been hitting the ball. Up close to .220. I cringe every time I look at the Angels' box score and see another 3-for-4 out of Cabrera. the sox brass can't even cry hindsight there. The guy played well in the '04 postseason so they couldn't question his ability to play under pressure. dumb, dumb decision to let him go

    Fuck Edgar too.

I don't know whether it was playing in the AL or playing in Boston, but he never looked comfortable las year.

Yep, that call not to go after Eckstein or resign Cabrerra is looking pretty fucking stellar right now. Fuck.

He's a steal for what, 7 million? Isn't that about what he's getting? And he should be the AL gold glove winner, Jeter gets the pretty boy in NY votes.

I guess Buchholz has passed Lester as a prospect now? I'm trying to trade Lester for him in a fantasy baseball keeper league.

I think it was four years $36 mill. twice as much as he deserves, even in this inflated market. why you give that kind of money to a guy who's average at best in the field coming off .278 hitting season (.219 in large market baseball savvy LA; .308 in we-don't-give-two-fucks-about-baseball Tampa) is beyond me. Theo fucked up by bringing in two huge question marks (injury riddled, passive JD Drew being the other) and relying in Wily Mo Pena to be his fourth OF.

thank god Tavarez has made his last start. Lester appears ready to give it a shot and Gabbard has earned a spot in the rotation, at least until Schilling returns.

I think the managers and coaches vote on it, not the fans.

Yankees winning again. If the Red Sox don't win the division this year then they should be hitting themselves all offseason. Wildcard is gonna come from Detroit or Indians
