The sick thing about this, beyond just a dog fighting organization, is the way they killed the dogs. Why go that route? No soul left in most people these days. Even shooting them would have been less sickening. I wouldn't care if Vick or anyone involved were put to death. Hell, put it on pay per view. I'd order it.

I have a pit by the way and they are great dogs. My 2 year son and her are the best of friends. The problem with pit bulls are usually the owners.

 

I can't imagine a 130 million dollar contract without one but stranger things have happened.

My point is that the Falcons have already sunk about 40 mill (or more) into Vick. They did so with some expectations as to his performance and availability. These recent events make it significantly less probable that he will be available into future seasons let alone this year. I wouldn't want to lay down a 6 million bet that he returns. I would be more willing to gamble on a punitive award should it be decided that I had wrongly suspended him with NO pay.

 

I find this just a bit insulting.

 

I believe about 40% of American homes own dogs and I'm sure a higher percentage than that are at the very least sympathetic to doggage. It seems clear to me (as a big time falcon hater) that the worst scenario for asslanta would be for Vick to see the field . . . Especially early on when the new staff is trying to implement some order and cohesion. Even the majority of his own dumbass fans in their own ass crack of a dome will be heckling and harassing him.

. . . Unless they start off 3-0 or something (shudder)

 

ok, but it's an honest observation. I think there is a real cultural difference regarding the subject matter.

 

What were the specific criteria that the Dolphins used to go after Ricky Williams' signing bonus? Because I could see a pretty good case being developed here. Especially if Vick was engaged in building out this enterprise at the time that he signed the contract. I have to think that there is a clause saying he is not involved criminal activities (or maybe felonious activities) or something like that.

Does anyone have an idea about the boilerplate clauses that pretty much all NFL contracts have?

 

even media figures like Steven A. Smith, Mike Freeman, and Skippy Bayless will (and have) attest to that . .. the position shouldn't be a shocker
