Andru Jones is getting hot. He even hit a homer to right, you read it, RIGHT FIELD. Braves need to make some hay on this homestand out of the break.

Last night may have been his last start in Atlanta. Smoltz comes off the DL tommorow and Davies goes to Richmond seems like a lock.

Hard to imagine a pitcher having a worse start than that. Maybe the minor leagues will get him straightened out. That was just pathetic..

Who would be the #5 (assuming Carlyle is now #4) Jo Jo Reyes? He wasn't exactly lights out last time he pitched. Agreed that Davies sucks and needs to be sent down. He's a disgrace.

    • Heard an interesting rumor -- and that's may be all it is, a rumor -- that makes sense, to a certain degree: The Braves are interested in Cincinnati right-hander Bronson Arroyo. But I cannot imagine the Reds making that deal without getting Jarrod Saltalamacchia in return; so far, Cincinnati GM Wayne Krivsky has been asking for big-time return in his trade proposals. Arroyo had one of his best games of the season, by the way, and it may be that Saltalamacchia is about to become an everyday player.

From Buster Olney-ESPN. Braves could definitely use a starter...

I would be shocked if the Reds deal Arroyo. He is young and pitches a lot of innings. It would be great to have him with the Braves but I don't think the Reds would make the deal even with Saltalamacchia as part of the booty.

The Braves would be crazy to trade Saltalamacchia for Arroyo.
