You feel bad for him?? Why? He had drugs and weapons. Its not like someone hit his car. He's the one that broke the law.

Come on Sackem, what woman anywhere near his age isn't going to think he's stupid as a brick? He HAS to date women way younger though I imagine she's pushing the age when she's starting to think "this guy's an idiot" although the drugs may help blurr her judgement.

Meaning I hate that he allowed himself to get himself in this situation. He fucked up and I am not condoning anything he did. Who among us hasn't fucked up royally? It's the ones that continue to fuck up are the ones I wash my hands of. Daryl Strawberry comes to mind

What do you think happens if he says "no"? Do you think the cops then say "Thanks anyway. Have a good night Mr. Maas."?

If they don't have probable cause, there's nothing they can do...and denying a search does not constitute probable cause. Nor does any routine traffic stop constitute probable cause for a search.

when you don't consent they call in a dog - which would have given probably cause when it alerted. if a dog is not available in a reasonable amt of time (forever) - you get to go.

When you don't give consent, they generally pressure you to change your mind, but if you don't then you're fine. They would need a compelling reason to hold you for a K-9 unit.
