What's the magic number to multiply x Sq footage to come up with a rough number for guesstimating material costs for framing/masonary?

    very fague, you are.

    masonry 8" block $5-6 a sf.
veneer (DEPENDING ON SELECTION) $7-12 a sf.

    framing labor non-custom $4 a sf.
framing labor custom $6-12 a sf.

framing material is impossible to sf. you have to have a design. walls 2x4 with 2x10 headers...floor system or on slab.....how many floors.....how tall are the ceiling heights.....stick frame ceilings and rafters or trusses.....plywood or osb sheathing....detailed ceilings or flat......pitch of roof.....exterior decks and patios......????????

there are endless factors that would determine the cost of the framing material.
