I think Brandan Wright has excellent potential. I don't think he will take THAT long to reach it however. Let's remember that he played on a very talented UNC team in which he wasn't the focal point. Yet he was still uber-productive. I think Charlotte is a good situation for him. There aren't 3 players at his position holding him down(ala Marvin Williams) nor is he expected to do too much right away.

There is a BANG about him that you don't see with other prospects in this draft besides Oden and Durant and a few sleepers. Brewer, Horford, Jeff Green, Al Thornton, and Joakim Noah are all solid players, but I think Wright is the most likely out of that bunch to become a superstar. This guy from charlotte.com was so right

Thornton maybe. I don't like Hawes at all.

    Wright was *not* a reach.

Brandan ownes within 2 seasons. Durant has a 7'4 reach. Wright is going to own. Charotte = STEAL again. Playoffs = Charlotte

Wright sucks on defense, is an inconsistent rebounder, and can't make jumpshots. His bust potential is enormous, but at least he's good for an occasional thunderdunk.

    Edit:
One positive may be that the Bobcats might have been more likely to let Gerald walk if they had gotten Green or Brewer. Certainly they can't afford to lose him now.

I'm going to do nothing but listen to sports talk radio tomorrow. It should be exceptionally entertaining.
