WTF is good about cap space if you don't fucking use it. If they don't resign Wallace they better have a max deal on the table for Rashard Lewis.

Everyone seems to be freaking out over Wallace and how the Bobcats may not sign him. But at least give them credit for waiting until after the draft. See how it plays out then start making moves.

If it's the #24 pick and Kurt Thomas NOT for the #8, sign me up.

He's decent and we've got cap space, and this is a deep draft.

Wouldn't we have to match salary in the trade? I have no clue how that will work.

I'm not sure why they are even considering trading the #8 pick. They've got a good core of young players and there will be talent available at the 8th spot that can improve the team. I wouldn't deal it for what I've heard of so far on the usual sports sites.

Not dealing May for the 17th pick was stupid too. If May were playing 65-75 games a season I could understand it cuz he's a solid player when he's on the floor. But the guy makes Dan Morgan look like the picture of health. Should have dealt him when he still had some value.

Gerald Wallace? If they let this guy get away then they need to change the front office down to the guy that empties the trash. Best player on the team from the games I've seen. But then judging by attendance no one cares about the Bobbers so this is probably all moot anyway

I've given this some thought - unless somebody incredible drops to them at 8 (Horford, Brewer, Conley) I'd trade into the teens and try to pick up an extra pick in the 20s.

There is a lot of quality SGs that will be taken in the teens (Nick Young, Daquan Cook, Rodney Stuckey and some foreign guys) and you could spend your picks in the 20's on Sean Williams and take a flyer on Tiago Splitter who will be available next once his buyout is reasonable.

That gives them two whole teams to trade with Philly and Phoenix.

Phoenix has made it a habit to sell their picks. They'll probably want to dump some contracts (Kurt Thomas) to take on Garnett also.

I think you're overlooking or at least underestimating Jeff Green, who some now have going before Brewer. Also, most sources seem to think that the quality drops off after the top nine. As for your scenario, the only trade partner who could fit would be Philadelphia, and I doubt they'd give up #12 and #21 for #8. If the Sixers were open to it, Nick Young would be a good option at #12 (Cook sucks). My problem with that scenario is still that the Bobcats have depth, what they need is a star. Trading #8 for Phoenix's #24 and #29 would be unconscionably stupid, though.
