    I haven't been to Charlotte for years but will be there in September. Any recommendations? I'll be staying at Marriott City Center but won't be hiring a car, so what's recommended 'Uptown' and around South End?

    Not in South End but Sir Edmund Haley's is also good and relatively close and might feel somewhat like home as well.
