it was funny. on par with 40-year-old virgin.

i think it's funnier if you're married.

funnier still if you're pregnant.

even more funny if you've had a kid. two kids makes it funnier, still.

and then if you smoke pot and do mushrooms, it probably takes it to another level of funny. so, i guess i missed out -- but those parts were still funny to me.

 

didnt sustain itself as well as 40 YOV. I usually love pothead humor, but this was kinda pointless/unfunny (aside from one scene).

Big gripe was that unlike 40YOV, this movie relied on improv'd scenes (they didnt write lines sometimes). Most of them didn't work. Paul Rudd did fire off a predictable but funny one liner though. There's a scene in Vegas that is damn near pointless. Also, I love Seth Rogan, but this movie confirms he isn't a lead.

Good flick though. Hilarious in spurts.

 

How funny is it if you got a girl knocked up and convinced her to abort it?

 

If you smoke pot and do mushrooms, air molecules are funny.

 

i haven't done either, so i wouldn't know.

but there were plenty of drug references in the movie, so, for those people who have had similar experiences, i'm guessing the movie is funnier at those moments.

i don't think rogan or rudd are leads, but they could be good wing-men -- like in 40-year-old virgin. that vegas trip was dumb to me, but i assumed it was because i didn't do mushrooms.

you know who was hilarious every time? the wife. she was the drunk driver girl from 40-year-old virgin. isn't she someone's wife in real life? like apatows?

 

Me neither, but I now people who have.

 

Yeah she is married to Apatow. Those were also thier real kids. Great movie.
