    Requiem for an Assassin by Barry Eisler. It was OK, but kept switching from the 3rd person back to the 1st, which I found annoying. Definitely not as great as they make it out to be.

    For John Rain, "the most charismatic assassin since James Bond" (San Francisco Chronicle) :rolleyes:

    I'd read another one of his books, but this character of his really isn't all that. Dirk Pitt or Lucas Davenport are much better characters, althought they're not assassins, IMO. Hell, the Daniel Silva assassins are more interesting.
