Yes, I've shown you how losing = poor fan attendance, which is far more quantifiable that "CHARLOTTE HATES THE NBA"

Winning is certainly better than losing as far as attendance is concerned, but you keep hiding behind that generality because you know the truth and don't want to admit it. The fact is that Charlotte quit on the NBA (and for good reason) even while the Hornets were still winning. The fact is that the Bobcats have had unprecedented poor attendance for an expansion team, and that their actual (as opposed to reported attendance) has been among the very worst in the league since the Bobcats' inception. And the fact is that a lot of people are pissed off that they voted against the arena only to see it built anyway.

Winning will not make Bobcats games well attended. You know it, you just don't want to admit it.

Collin, thanks for posting the records--it was pointed out they were better than I remembered, but the numbers helped too.

Winning could help the Bobcats, but they need to do something to foster some goodwill. And you are rigth, Collin...winning alone won't be enough.

When the Hornets left Charlotte, they were on a streak of about 8 years finishing .500 or higher.

I guess seeing the video of a half-full Coliseum had me thinking about poor records. My bad.

No worries. It felt like a bad team because of the poisonous atmosphere. But the two Bobcats games I have been to didn't feel like even a diehard segment embracing the team. Instead it felt like most of the arena had a profound sense of boredom. One was a reasonably close game and yet the people who were in attendance were either constantly talking or wandering around. It was a beautiful arena, albeit half empty.

I'm not sure what we're even arguing about at this point. I simply think once they put a quality product on the floor, attendance will increase and the Bobcats will be viable. Declaring them to be done and that they need to move is silly.

I've been to quite a few Bobcat games and I usually get a sense that the people at the game aren't actually watching the game. It got a little better last year, but you still get the feeling that the crowd is there more to be seen than to watch a basketball game.

It mostly revolves around you being pissed at me for coming into the basketball forum, which you see as your sandbox.
Some, sure. They might go from being last in actual attendance to second or third from last.
That is much more doubtful. Not only do the attendance problems look unfixable, but businesses aren't falling over themselves to partner with the team.
Not really. If nothing changes drastically, they are. But for the record, I doubt that they'll move. I think if something happens it will probably be a contraction, as they didn't need to expand again and there aren't any obvious markets left that could support a team.
