1-2 with an era about 5.0 and the one win was against the fucking Pirates. Great signing.

The Rocket gets a laugh every time he cashes a check. Here is to hoping he and the Yankees continue their current losing streak.

He's had some bad luck with home runs, thus the 4.86 ERA, but striking out 21 in 16&2/3 innings is exceptional and shows that he's still got great stuff. That ERA is going to drop quickly and he's going to win a lot of games, even if it's not enough to justify that absurdity of a contract.

A pitcher who strikes out three in seven innings and gets 15 batters to ground out has great stuff too.

    whaddya mean by "a lot"?

Probably 10-12 games if he can stay healthy. He's looked a lot better than I expected him to, although at his age he could injure himself again at any moment.

10-12 would equate to around 18 for a full season. Don't think he has that in him. didn't he say he was struggling with the "breeze" at Coors Field? got him wheezing and struggling to catch his breath.

Cashman should be fired. Leave Torre alone, Cashman is a bumbling idiot. People talk about A-Rod making 25 million. Giambi is making 23 million! That is insane! Didn't they spend like 23 million just to be able to talk to Kei Igawa and Kei Igawa makes Kyle Davies look like an all-star

Plus all the old pitchers. That's what gets me. Even idiots know pitching is what wins championships, and he bought and kept all these old and injured fucks.

I generally agree, but at least they're keeping their pitching prospects now. In addition to Hughes, Joba Chamberlain is one of the top prospects in baseball.
