Let the talking begin.... courtesy ESPN Rumors...

    Brewer Stands Out
Jun 16 - Charlotte brought in Corey Brewer, Al Thornton and Thaddeus Young for a big workout on Wednesday.
The word ESPN.com's Chad Ford got from Charlotte was that Brewer really stood out in the workout, followed by Thornton and Young.

The Bobcats would love to get Brewer at No. 8, but it's debatable whether he will still be there.

They've been saying all along that if he's there, Brewer is their pick. I don't think he'll be there though.

It would be a minor miracle for Brewer to be there. There just aren't any guards in this draft for him to last to 8. Same problem with Mike Conley (not that I want him in Charlotte, but he'll go higher than he should due to the lack of guards in the draft).

We'll have the leftovers of the 6'9 forwards...bleh.

Joakim Noah, Brandan Wright, Julian Wright, I expect one of those guys to be our pick unfortunately. I like Noah for the pro game, but he's a bad fit for our needs on our roster. Unless we can get away with Okafor at center.

Sucks, our draft position is terrible for our team in my opinion.

And Corey Brewer's not good enough to warrant trading both picks for, no one is outside of the top two who obviously are untouchable.

edit: I don't suppose there's any way Yi will fall to 8? You never know I guess, someone decent will be there which is the good thing for the Bobcats. The bad thing is he won't necessarily be a good fit for our team. You can always use another good basketball player though, and we'll get that much at 8.

The Sean May pick is crippling us still. I hope he comes back to form next year, he was really playing well when he went down.

Heres the updated mock with a blurb on a possible FA signing!

The skinny: The Bobcats will likely go after Rashard Lewis to handle their scoring woes. But they also need to improve their rebounding, which is where Noah comes in.

Bernie Bickerstaff and Michael Jordan will be fans of the energy and intensity he brings to the game. If Noah joins Emeka Okafor, Sean May and Primoz Brezec, the Bobcats will have a number of different frontline options.

Also, Noah projects as one of the most marketable players in the draft, and the Bobcats are still searching for a player who can be the face of the franchise.

thats what is so funny about these "experts" telling what the Bobcats are gonna do...right now, the Bobcats don't know what they are gonna do.

Getting Rashard Lewis and re-signing Wallace would be huge. Getting another guy who is going to come in and be the face of the franchise is getting old.

That might not be a bad equation. If they brought in a guy who can score like Lewis, keep Wallace and draft another big body like Noah they would have some depth and quality. You could bring Morrison off the bench like they used to do with Dell Curry. Depending on the match ups you could go small with Okafor at center or big with him at the 4. You would have several guys who could switch between the 2 and 3 spots too.

No way they kick out the cash for Rashard Lewis since he was making $10 mil a year already. Wallace will command at least $10 mil.

I have a feeling that they'll try and trade their picks to move up and get Brewer, but I doubt they'll be successful.
