Opening up 6/20 where Joe's Crab Shack used to be over near Carolina Place Mall. We ate there last night as part of the trial runs before the big grand opening. It's a cross section between Lonestar and Mortons. Sirloin steaks served white glove style. It was kinda too much, over the top, get your napkin folded for you while you hit the head, baby screaming at the next table kind of place. Check it out.

    It wasnt bad.

We had spinach artichoke dip for the app...there wasnt enough big pieces of artichoke in it...mostly all spinach.

I had 10 oz. sirloin (medium) with coconut shrimp and garlic mash potatoes. The steak was cooked correctly and the shirmp were good...so were the potatoes. Wife had salmon with some kind of rice. She liked it. The other couple...she had grilled chicken with grilled shimp and veg with a roasted potatoe smothered in cheese thing...it was very good. He had 10 oz. sirloin, garlic mash and served with two shrimp, individually stuffed inside a fresh jalapeno with crab meat and fried in some kind of tempura batter something or other...it was ok.

Some double stacked brownie/ice cream cluster fuck of a thing served in a huge wine/water glass with caramel, chocolate sauce whipped cream and a cherry for dessert.

Our mock bill came to just > $100...with one app, four entrees, one dessert, two ice teas and two waters.

$100 is great for 4. I am a filet guy, not sirloin, but as long as they can cook it right it doesn't matter. Sounds like a good place, food wise.

I am a big consistancy guy. As long as the food is decent and consistent I will give them my business. Nothing worst that having one good meal one night and going back and it sucking.

PS-Drinks with that too? Then it is a great deal. Guess not.
