anybody watching? the abc standard def signal is absolutely garbage. it looks like somebody was trying to fit 3 hours of programming onto a cd or something -- muddy, contrasty, horrible afterimages, etc. bleah.

anyway, i am growing to hate the spurs. sure, they're good, but i just can't stand the love affair the refs have with them. ginobili flails on a brush foul and it's called a flagrant? wtf? tim duncan uses his extended arms to move people away getting rebounds and that's legal? he sets a moving pick and it's not a big deal. parker pushes his man away with his off arm and while his defender is flying out of bounds he goes up for the shot. maybe the ref didn't see it cuz he was a whole 5 feet away.

i think the cavs might have gotten one or two of the out-of-bounds called in their favor. now maybe the spurs are just that good - maybe they're able to jump in and swat the ball and have it bounce off an opponents hand. i guess stranger things have happened.

Cavs have no chance. LeBron will get hot for one game and the Cavs will split the 2 games in Cleveland and the Spurs will win in 5.

the only positive thing for the cavs is they did gain some momentum in the 4th quarter and , possibly mabye, it'll carry over to the next game.. they have got to play daniel gibson more. he just got two steals when coach took him out.. c'mon mike brown, you have to go with the one player on the team who's hot.. he's only 21 .. he isn't going to get too tired

larry hughes is bringing nothing. start gibson. it wasn't like he was getting toasted on d and he was the only other guy who could make his own shot on offense. in fact, he was better at going to the rim than lebron. i don't think parker is really known for his d, so put somebody there that will exploit him. the kid is absolutely fearless.

I'm waiting for Ginobli to run into Varejao. That double flop will be one for the ages.

    mike brown is an idiot.

lebron picks up two fouls because he's playing with intensity and you sit him for the remainder of the 1st quarter? wtf? he played like, what 3 minutes or something? that's pretty early to be giving up.

sure as shit, when he comes back in like a half hour later, he's cold and has lost his edge. oh, and the cavs have already spotted the spurs a pretty good lead.

to add insult to injury, he insists on snow getting burn at the point and still giving hughes minutes instead of gibson who is the 2nd best player for the cavs currently.

the cavs make a miraculous comeback in the 4th to actually cut a nearly 30 point differential to single digits with guys on the perimeter who can shoot he ball to help spread the court for lebron -- ie, no snow and no hughes. the sad part is that he won't recognize that it worked and he'll go back to starting larry hughes.

why don't the cavs stick to a strong zone? seemed they were overplaying the passing lanes a lot and dont' have the ability to man up with parker or ginobli. you're right, mike brown is an idiot.

honestly, the cavs defense is pretty good really. that's where i'll give brown some credit. but he doesn't seem to recognize that lousy execution on the offensive end will contribute to difficulties on the defensive end. you're gonna have a lot more success against parker in the half-court than in the open court. and you're going to have 0 chance against him with larry hughes.
