Culpepper won me a lot of FFL games over the years when he was with the Vikings. Of course he sunk my season when I took him his last year there. He is a guy who played at a high level for a pretty good stretch so I would be willing to risk a little on him to see if he can get back to that level. I would not bring him to the Panthers but if I had a team that was struggling a bit at QB I would bring him on board. Jacksonville might be a good spot for him....

Not one that threw over thirty touchdowns in a season not long ago. If Culpepper ever gets his mobility back he will be much better than Leftwich.

Well I follow the Chiefs and I can say that this really is a win/win deal. I think Green can still be a solid QB and if he can pick up their system he might thrive, but it is clearly not much more than a grooming situation for their rookie.

The Chiefs for all intents and purposes had/have moved on. They claimed there would be open competition between Croyle, Huard and Green but anyone who is paying attention will tell you that the Chiefs want Croyle to be the guy and are doing everything they can to make that happen. Green knew that and that was the biggest reason for his request to be traded. Huard was retained for a role similar to that of Green's in Miami. Green also wasnt a Herm guy, he was a Vermeil guy and I think the relationship was not as cozy as either Green or Herm would have liked. The bottom line is, if Trent hadnt been traded now he would have been asked to take a pay cut and then let go when he wouldnt and the Chiefs wouldnt have gotten a dime for him, so this is one instance where Carl Peterson actually did some good.

That might be the first time I have ever complimented him.

Even if he does not he has the tools to be a good QB. Whether he can mentally adjust to being a pocket passers is up in the air but I think he could be a good one.

Throwing behind an awful Dolphins offensive line didn't help matters. He needs to go somewhere that is fortified up front. If he could somehow end up in NE for a year, that would be a great situation. It would give him time to get his confidence back and be a part of a winning organization.

As for Kansas City, it seems like they're trying to do everything in their power to miss the playoffs this year. Nevermind the fact that you don't have a real starting QB -- when Chris Terry is a potential starter at LT, that's never a good sign.

It comes down to Cameron wanting "his guy". Head coaches, especially offensive minded HC's are weird like that like. I don't think Green is any better than Culpepper at this point, either, and agreed that a 5th is probably a pick too high. A 4th, if that happens, will almost be robbery.

That dolphins O-line did suck but Minnesota's line was decent his last season there and he still sucked.

Take your pick from ESPN tonight
    1. Baltimore - Boller is gone after this year and McNair didn't play as expected
    2. Minnesota - didn't draft a QB and is Travaras Jackson really the man to go with?
    3. Jacksonville - They are beefing up Leftwiches confidence so no way they bring in Culpepper
