Pirates 3

was very good. Brought the whole franchise together. Worth seeing at the theater.

 

Oh, I thought the Bucs got mathematically eliminated already.

Worth seeing on the big screen. Keith Richards as Jacks dad is also 'Keeper of the Pirate Code'. oll ... he said burn one before you go in the theater, the special effects are so good you might need a towel.

 

Must be a pretty good movie. All the reviews I've read have said it sucks.

 

The only thing that was not up to par was the chit chat between some characters at various times. Supposed to be funny but seemed forced. Still the movie was good IMHO and the audience laughed a lot. I will watch it again when it hits pay per view.

 

I agree with Reb on several of his points. The comedy was lacking and at times forced. Some of the exchanges left us scratching our heads, and saying, "huh?" The banter of the first movie was definitely not there.

I was lost during much of the movie because it had been so long since I saw Pirates 2, which I didn't think much of, either. But regardless of what you thought of 2, watch it again before you go see 3 -- if you don't, you'll find yourself lost a whole lot, which isn't fun during a 2hr 45min movie.

 

It was good. But very long. Especially in a theatre with broken air conditioning.

Definitely set the story line for Pirates IV.

 

Exactly hasbeen. In-laws were in town for the long weekend and we sat down Saturday and watched 1, Sunday watched 2, and as soon as it was over went and saw 3.

Definitely the way to go. But I agree that some of the humor was not THAT funny. Still some good lines and all. But I enjoyed it better than 2. And anyone credited with editing is lying. I'm not sure if ANYTHING was edited.

 

Pirates 4?

I heard 2 sucked, I didn't even like 1, I can't believe there was/is a 3.

I guess I need to do what reb says and smoke a couple before I watch any of them.

 

2 and 3 were made at the same time. So it was known when 2 came out there would be a 3. Its sorta one of those continuation deals.
