Well I had the cortisone shot and it didn't last at all. Now I am on the night splint. After this is the surgery to cut one of the three ligaments (center) that is the Fascia. The doctor said he has never had anyone need anything after cutting the one ligament. Your feet don't go flat from cutting the 1 of three. The recovery time is minimal as well. Here's hoping the night splint isn't too uncomfortable

I feel for you. My feet hurt so bad every day, the worst part of my day is putting on my shoes. If I had a job where I had to stand all day, I would have filed for permanent disability I can't even walk a mile without my feet killing me. My hands are the same way, but not as bad. I still may have to file for disability before retirement age if I start getting any sort of arthritis(which runs in my family) in my hands. I got a handicap placard for my car. Helps a lot at the grocery store or if I go to some nightmare place like Wal-Mart for something. It's a bitch, but mine is nerve damage, and they told me it's doubtful it will ever go away now.

Well after a month of using the night splint I am not sure it is doing anything. Has anyone heard of a Bleo injection? I have two co-workers that have had these for heel spurs and have had great results. One had the surgery for removal of the spur but after having the injection had MUCH better results. The doctor who did it is Dr John Lomgobardo in Charlotte. I may be looking him up here soon

I did a google search and did not see anything regarding a Bleo injection treating Plantar Fasciitis. I had a pretty bad case of it for almost two years and my podiatrist never suggested surgery. A month with the night splint doesn't sound like much to me...and if it were me, i would stick with that for a while longer. the problem is that it is almost impossible to stay off your feet so it becomes difficult for the injury to heal.

Let us know how it turns out.

still having problems. much worse in the summertime because i'm wearing flip flops more.

i read about trying tart cherry juice and how it's done wonders.

just took my first batch. pretty gross but it's worth a try.

i'll give an update in a few days/weeks.

    i hope this works.

My foot pain is a lot more manageable. I stopped wearing the night boot after 6 months and when I think about it at work stretch my toes towards my shin. Another good thing is to stand on stairs using just the top pad of your foot. Then rock towards the lower step. Really stretches the calf muscle. This helps with the fascia. Best thing my doctor told me is to swap out shoes on a regular basis.

Cherry juice? That's a first. I wish I could wear flip flops or sandles. The lack of an arch would have me stopped in a couple of hours

My wife has been having trouble with this since she went back to work full time and had to be on her feet all day. Ice, Advil and new insoles have helped her some.
