Racing question...

WW is correct on the tunnel There is a walking tunnel underneath turn 4. If you are with a group, they might have a golf cart or some form of shuttle for you to ride. I would look into that--otherwise it's a nice walk to get where you need to be.

Hospitality tents (from mwhat I have seen) are both infield and outside the track. You have more motor homes on the infield than tents.

 

It's with a group. Wouldn't a hospitality tent outside the track be pointless? Unless it's for tailgating...

Nope. Sat in the stands for 1. A box for the last 3. Actually had the most fun in the stands.

 

No Tunnel

You are allowed to run acroos the track during cautions to your seats
But you must run as they are still moving rather fast .


Pits are good for autograph oppurtunities ,But in the infield area unless your on top of a camper you can not see the whole track, and you have to keep turning your head around and around to follow your driver

Seats you can see the whole track ,
but you will dodge beer cans and chicken bones if your not at least 20 rows up

 

RV's on the right after you come through 4th turn tunnel are the Drivers RV's

 

The pits are fun for about 15 minutes. After the novelty of being in the pits wears off, you realize you can't really see anything and it's really a pretty miserable place to watch the race. If you're there for the 600, I'd start in the stands then head down to the pits for a little while during the middle, then head back to the stands to watch the end.

 

I'm all set for this. I downloaded the Frogger song to my Ipod. I'm psyched.

 

Well my best friend from high school is coming down for the weekend. I was able to get him a ticket through the people taking me. Only myself and 2 others will have the pit passes. Apparently it's a hell of a hike to the seats from the pits...and no beer is allowed. I'll probably be skipping the pits.

I'm going for 3 reasons. 1. Get drunk 2. Observe the animals 3. Hope for a wreck.

 

the pit sounds like the pits. i have only been to one race in my life and it was that long ass one. i about died. the drinking and the party afterwords was a blast. WW fell in the fire, it was great.
