pretty good episode. wonder if locke is really going to die.

wonder what "help me" is supposed to mean. it really seemed like locke was being set up to be the new leader of the others with how everybody was looking up to him.

that line of stuff in the ground seemed like some sort of warding device -- like maybe it's keeping jacob in that shack. it's a bit occultish, but so are spirits/ghosts which seem common in the show.

if they're survivors of the black rock, what makes them so special? the island? just living there long enough or something?

jacob was the guy who supposedly cured julliete's sister's cancer (or made it happen).

jacob is a lousy pirate name.

we just watched the end again.we just watched the end again.

the lantern that they had inside jacob's cabin fell on the floor, broke and started the fire.

but when ben walks out of the cabin, he puts the lantern back up on the outside wall -- just to the left of the door. it ain't broke no more.

    weird.

yeah, i caught that as well. the place was suddenly not on fire anymore either.

i also thought it was odd that juliette seemed to know what was on the other side of the tape when she had them play it even tho she hadn' gotten the message. i suppose it could have just been confirmation of an earlier plan, but it seemed to be more of an answer than just "we're a go".

Yeah - I thought the scene where Ben was talking to Jacob was pretty cheesy. Seemed too forced.

But overall, good episode. I'm still not sure if Locke will die for good, but probably, since they only got 2 episodes to kill off 3 or 4 more people.

Pretty sure Ben's camp actually was hoping Locke would take over, they sure didn't mind him beating up on Patcheye. Old Locke seems (or seemed) pretty good with his fists. I wonder if he was a boxer at one time.

It could very easily have been Ben putting on a show for Locke. He could have rigged the room to move and changed his voice and said Help Me while Locke's back was turned. Ben could just be crazy with Jacob as his imaginary friend.
